Description
The flame moved through and marked the surface with ash where it traveled. That is the depth of color you are seeing, not a glaze applied evenly. Because the kiln does the coloring, this is the only piece that will ever look exactly like this.
Care
Dishwasher safe. Give large or fragile pieces a hand wash, and keep anything with gold luster out of the microwave and the dishwasher — the gold is real metal. Pit-fired pieces are not for food.
